A Busy Two Weeks! WPPI, Weddings, and More!

Hi Everyone!!!

Wow, what a busy past two weeks we have had! In the past two weeks, we have shot Mary & Luke’s wedding on March 14th on Daufuskie Island, flown to Las Vegas to attend WPPI, stayed in Las Vegas for Anna’s Sister’s, Kathleen’s wedding, flew back, and now Anna is in Montreal! Craziness! On top of all of this, we’ve been designing a new website, creating new video material for our website, designing and just starting the construction of our photobooth to be finished in a couple of weeks, and of course editing & uploading the photographs for Luke & Mary’s wedding (they should be up by Monday – we hit a small hiccup in uploading).

So, to start from the beginning, first I’ll talk about Luke & Mary’s wedding. When I posted before with their slideshow, it was around midnight – and we had to be at the airport around 6:30AM. So, needless to say, I didn’t have much time to really write a thoughtful post.

Luke & Mary’s wedding was absolutely beautiful! The overcast day resulted in some gorgeous photographs in a simply stunning location. All the guests were on the Island which made for a really nice, relaxed feel during the day. We took the ferry over in the morning and stayed well into the night. Oh, I should mention, this was also one of our first times offering videography. Yep – Videography! No, Anna and I didn’t operate the video cameras – we left that to a good friend and colleague of ours, Robbie Bearden. He’s done videography most of his life, though this was his first time applying his skills to a wedding. At the end of the day, we captured some wonderful photographs and video – and, we just had a great time.

So, the next day after the wedding, we drove back up to Atlanta, edited & created the slideshow for Luke & Mary, and then Anna and I flew out to Las Vegas the next day. It was actually my first time going to Vegas.

First up in Vegas, WPPI – Wedding & Portrait Photographers International. We got a chance to meet a lot of great photographers and get introduced to some new products we’ll be offering soon. Of course, the speakers at this convention are some of the very best in the nation – it was really great hearing their take on artistic photography and the photographic industry.

Here is one of the albums we'll be offering soon! We are pretty happy with this new company here -

they have albums with a more unique feel than many others.

 Las Vegas

On Saturday March 22nd, Anna’s sister Kathleen got married at Graceland Chapel in Las Vegas to Andy Hollingsworth!!! We were guests – Anna was a bridesmaid. Unfortunately, we don’t have any photographs to share – we let the professional photographer there do their job while we just enjoyed the wedding. Anna and I are so happy to Andy & Kathleen! (We really could write on and on about this, but I’ll keep it short here. It was a great time and were truly honored to be there.)

One last thing I wanted to share – our photobooth. We’ve had a few people asking us about it and what it will look like. So, I wanted to share a couple of sketch drawings we have at the moment. It really is going to be a pretty neat photobooth. We’ve had requests for it to allow more people inside the booth … so, our answer to this is to make it be able to split in half. With this ability, we can adapt it to whatever the couple wants. Also, it will break down into its own carrying box. Oh, and the look – we are going to have a spin off of an old phone booth. It will be extremely functional and unique. I’ll post pictures of it as soon as it is finished.
