A couple of items on the horizon
I thought I should make a quick post of the two items we're currently working feverishly on (besides right now editing photographs, videography, and more). The first item is our photo booth. We originally were going to go with a more very old phone booth look - like the following below:While this would very well work, we felt the look was rather ... loud. And, not exactly what we're looking for. With the new website (#2 of what we're working on) in development, we thought we just might like to have the photo booth look a bit more like the rest of our materials. So, we started to think of Shoji screens (below):These screens are common in Japanese culture to seperate rooms or areas. They've taken off relatively recently in the American culture - you can typically find at least one screen without too much trouble in many stores. So, with this in mind, we're in the process of building our take on the Shoji Screen Photo Booth. It will be able to break down and fit into a car, yet be supportive enough for someone to gently lean on for support. We've decided to stay more towards the neutral colors, so we're going to use finished Poplar as the main wood present. The image below gives some idea on what it will be like, though, this is just the rough sketch.Oh, I should also mention - the photo booth will NOT be able to print out photographs on-location. Having this feature would drastically increase the price. The camera will be tiggered by a old-style push-button trigger (think very old camera triggers), and the number of photographs that can be captured will be pratically unlimited (up to about 2000 in a day). I should also mention that there will be two small screens - one on the inside and one on the outside - that will display the last image taken. All photographs (g-rated) will be uploaded to Pictage.com afterwards for everyone from the wedding to be able to view & purchase. Additionally, if the collection selected for the wedding includes the digital files, then any files from the photobooth will be included as well.On to item #2!The website! We're currently working on a new, more sophisticated website. The focus will be back on the photographs and less on us (the introductory video will remain, but it will no longer automatically play). Our new website will have a new range of music that reflects our style a bit more as well as custom animations we're in the process of designing and creating. Basically, it is going to be a complete custom website designed & created by us in hopes of producing a very unique experience when anyone visits our website.I should also mention that we have a new logo and new colors we'll be working with as well. I'll upload small pieces as we progress on the site.
