Photo Booth a Success!
Hi Everyone! Our Photo Booth was a success!! If you’ve been following our blog, you probably pickedup a small bit about the design and functionality of the photo booth. Basically, it is acustom built (by us!) Shoji Screen inspired design using premium wood meant to breakdown to a portable size as we do a bit of traveling for the weddings we photograph.
A little background: The original design was to have an old-school photo booth design, but after doing a bit of research we realized old-school photo booths just … well, just don’tlook all that great. So, we then decided to go more towards an old-school phone booth(the red ones) … but, after thinking of this we thought that a bright red may not alwaysfit in with any wedding. Finally, we came to the realization of why not have it match our newwebsite. Our new website that we’re working on has a much more international and Japanesefeel to it with custom animations & really great music (you’ll love it!). We’re still working on thewebsite and won’t release it until it is just right. However, we could definitely design the photobooth in a way that fits our style - thus, we came to the Shoji Screen design.
Katie & John having fun in the photoboothWe have to say that we were absolutely thrilled with the photo booth. While we may do sometweaking after its first run at Katie & John’s wedding (like painting the wood black or a dark stain),it is pretty much exactly what we wanted it to be. It was easy for everyone to use and very fun! Anna and I really hopeto bring it to more weddings in the future - it is just a blast to have at the wedding & definitely results inone-of-a-kind photographs of guests. Here’s a quick slideshow of some of the photographs from the photo booth at John & Katie’s wedding.
And some photographs we were able to capture around the photobooth:
