Logyn & Chris' Wedding | Savannah, Ga

Hi Everyone!!!So, this past weekend we had an absolute blast photographing Logyn & Chris' wedding. We met Logyn a while back at a bridal show in Savannah - we've both been looking forward to her wedding since then. Her wedding was at the Mighty Eighth in Savannah, Ga. The Mighty Eighth is Savannah's air force museum - a really neat location for weddings (Anna and I were like kids in a candy store when it came to detail shots). The entire day went on without a problem ... until the end, when it poured on the four of us ... but, that wasn't a problem anyway, and we had a great time ... more to come on that below.

A list of the vendors involved:

Enjoy the slideshow and photographs!

This is the first of many detail shots from the day. I have to admit, this was our first chance to work with a plane for an image - we LOVED it. They are re-finishing the entire plane right now (a B-17) - there were actually people working on it when we shot this (literally, on the wings).

Just a little different of a take here - we wanted more contrast in the lighting.

Love these ring shots.

We saw this the day before when scouting out and just knew a bouquet shot would work here.

Now we're to the ceremony. This is just before when we're setting up our off-cameras (we now are using two controlled with one trigger). This is angle one - Anna being so kind to model (she's actually getting a photograph of her own here).

And, this would be the second angle using the wireless cameras.

It worked out very well during the ceremony - I love Chris' expression here.

I love this shot as well (many more are in the slideshow above)

This is after Chris and Logyn's reception. We loved it.

The setup for some of the shots - we actually added another flash & diffuser on the left side as well shortly after this shot.

This is the Mighty Eighth's reflection pool - 85 1.2L @ 1.2 nearly touching the water.

So, we decided to take some photographs at the B-47 outside. It at first started to sprinkle - 5 seconds later, it was pouring. Chris & Logyn were great and totally went with it.

So - I love this shot for two reasons. First, that is the chapel where Logyn & Chris were married in the background. Second, that is our umbrella we typically use for lighting. Too much fun.

Since we were already soaked ... we decided to have fun in the reflection pool. (Note: 5D Mark II's hold up very well under pouring conditions)

Really - congratulations Logyn & Chris. We were thrilled to be able to document your wedding day.
