Anna and Spencer Portfolio Photograph #12
We believe that it is important for a couple to have some time alone together during their wedding day. Most of the day can be swept up in the preparations, the congratulations, and all the things a couple wants or is expected to do. Taking time out for a breather can help solidify the moment - it can help the couple absorb the fact that they are now married.Typically, if the structure of the day allows, we take the bride and groom away from the reception while all the guests are distracted by dinner. (...after they have eaten of course.) This works very well - food is a great distraction! Most of the time, the guests don't even realize the couple is gone.During this time, we take a few photographs of the newlyweds just being in love. We then back off and give them the time alone that is usually hard to find during the day. Spencer and I still take photographs while we are some distance off.We respect the relaxed, quiet, private moments - but we also understand that those times can make some of the most touching images.- Anna
