Anna and Spencer Portfolio Photograph #41

This was the windiest day. The combination of the wind and Mary’s cathedral length veil, created such great movement in this photograph. It would have been a completely different photograph if Mary had let it loose, but because she was holding the veil, it cascaded down in such a soft way. This is why I love photojournalistic shots so much – the things that a bride and groom do naturally can be dynamic, interesting, or unexpected. It is what really happened… and when they look back at their photographs, they don’t think of their photographers posing them, they think of what they were experiencing or feeling at the moment.-Anna
