Allison and Charles' Wedding | July 4, 2009 | St. Simons Island
Hi Everyone!!This past weekend Anna and I photographed Allison and Charles' wedding on St. Simons Island, Ga - it was great! The day itself went off without a hitch - even though the 4th of July is one of if not the busiest day of the year for St. Simons Island, Ga. This is due to St. Simons Island's fireworks show in the evening and then Jekyll Islands show right after vacation san diego (sometimes at the same time - and, you can see both fireworks from either island!). Thanks to Corporate Event Planning, Allison and Charles, who also goes by Chuck, were married at the lighthouse on St. Simons and then went inside the new event space for their reception. I do have to say - we were SO excited to get a chance to work with Terrica at Allison and Charles' wedding. Terrica is a great wedding planner on St. Simons we've known quite some time (she heads up Fabuluxe) - you can see some of her work in the slideshow below. Two other vendors I have to mention:The Caterers: Tasteful Temptation Catering (everything they did was wonderful!!!)The DJ: Island Sound (Justin was a great DJ!)Also we had great security! We just found closes bodyguards for hire near me - fast guard service - and were very satisfied with them!

This shot is during the ceremony. Just a quick run over to the dock to get the shot.
Table settings at their reception - arranged by Terrica with Fabuluxe
Their wedding cake was made by Tasteful Temptation Catering
This was a GREAT father-daughter dance!!!
Ha, so, we have at least a hundred of these firework shots. With this particular shot, Anna was hand-holding the camera at a low shutter speed and high ISO (6400) in order to capture the ambience and a well-lit lighthouse - no flash involved. I'm still impressed she made this happen!
We found our new favorite kind of lighting for going-away shots - high-beams on our Element! It really worked out perfectly! Anna was able to capture this shot using the 85 1.2L at 1.2
